MBT_Masai_Barefoot_Technology_footbed_trio

Each pair of Masai Barefoot Technology (MBT) Shoes comes with an insole made from high quality foam creating a layer of orthopedic padding that provides extra cushion with every step.  This along with the MBT patented heel sensor helps to reduce impact  on knee and hip joints making them ideal orthopedic shoes.

For those who sport in style, the MBT-1998 Mesh offers performance design with customizable lace colors, plus a suede and mesh exterior that keeps you looking AND feeling great. MBT’s SensorTechnology, and Pivot Access technology come together to absorb shock and guide your foot for your most efficient stride.

Features:

  • High Level 3 Rock – generates a higher level of rock due to its strong sole curve and Pivot Axis for increased activation
  • Classic mesh and genuine suede upper
  • 3 different shoelace colors to fit your personal style
  • EVA midsole
  • High abrasion rubber outsole for maximum durability
  • PU insole with good shock absorption and breathability
  • MBT’s patented SensorTechnology — backed by nearly 30 years of physiological research — absorbs shock and helps you land softly on your heel. The natural cushioning supports your feet no matter what the day holds.
  • Pivot Axis technology in the midsole mimics the feeling of walking barefoot on sand and instinctively moves you forward. The midfoot curve delivers an efficient stride and propels you with each step.
  • Say goodbye to shoes that make your feet roll side-to-side — now you can walk or run with confidence. The rocker bottom shoe has a curved sole, giving you a stable, smooth toe-off as you take each soft step. It matches your foot’s natural movement while offering the same stability as a traditional walking shoe.
  • High-abrasion rubber outsole and tri-density midsole offer a durable, cushioned ride. The lasting board and engineered shank, developed specifically for MBT, provide additional comfort and support. Your feet will be grateful.
  • With a seal of acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), MBT shoes support overall foot health, whether you’re walking, running, or standing all day on the job. Feel the impact of the original rocker bottom shoe:
    • Provides good arch support to help take care of your long-term foot health.
    • Helps improve balance and posture by activating your postural muscles.
    • Delivers a cushioned step when you’re recovering from a long run or demanding day on your feet.
    • Increases muscle activity and improves venous activity.
    • Talk to your physician about how MBT Shoes might help you like they have helped other MBT customers with relief from knee and back issues.

This shoe tends to run small. If you border-line between sizes and your measurement is not exact in the chart, we recommend selecting the next size up which tends to be a size larger than you normally wear.

Measure your feet

Wear the type of socks you'll wear with your shoes and measure feet in the afternoon (feet typically swell during the day). Distribute weight evenly before measuring.

1.  Step 1 for Measuring Your Foot

Place a piece of paper on a hard floor with one end to the wall. Stand on the piece of paper with the heel slightly touching the wall.

2. Step 2 for Measuring Your Foot

Mark the end of your longest toe with a pencil for both feet.

3.  Step 3 for Measuring Your Foot

Take the larger of the two foot length values and compare it with our sizing chart, to define your shoe size.
